Painted Patty

Time to paint Patty! She's about 1/3 done, here are a couple pictures of the process thus far. The top one is the most recent. Happy with how it's turning out so far, it's been a while since I've painted on stretched canvas and I'm enjoying catching up with this long lost friend!

Cardy Study

Two hour study of my patient friend (and fantabulous drummer) Cardy using the alla prima technique; a method that I've found to be incredibly challenging and enjoyable to learn.

My terrible camera gives this piece an inaccurate and disgusting sepia tone. Must acquire new camera!

The only worthwhile reference material I have in my studio is unwanted porn magazines from work. Therefore I give you the subject of my current doodles; Patty! She's 18 and loves anal. Doodles are done in blue ballpoint pen from a philosophy lecture and working the door at a Soul Motivators show.

Florence

No artwork post for today, just an excited post about being accepted into OCADU's Florence Program! I'll be spending 8 months working in their studio, kind of like a mini thesis!

Come September my blog updates will be far more plentiful and the work will (hopefully) take a turn for the better!
